Zdecydowana większość serwisów muzycznych stara się przed końcem roku (choć moim zdaniem rzetelność przemawia jednak za tym, by czynić to dopiero na początku nowego roku) opublikować na swoich łamach ranking najlepszych wydawnictw muzycznych roku. Nie inaczej było w roku 2014.
Ja, choć do wyników takich rankingów podchodzę z pewną rezerwą, od kilku lat zerkam, cóż takiego na koniec roku polecają nam media muzyczne. Prawdę mówiąc, ciekawsze niż rankingi albumów są dla mnie rankingi piosenek, jako że to w ich przypadku bardziej liczę na jakąś inspirację. W istocie zainspirować mnie prędzej udaje się muzycznym blogerom niż popularnym serwisom muzycznym. Rankingi tych ostatnich są pewnym uśrednieniem gustów muzycznych całej redakcji czy może raczej wypadkową pewnych trendów, które owe redakcje swoim typowaniem próbują wykreować. Mnie jakoś bardziej interesują ewentualne „odchylenia”, a te łatwiej odnaleźć jest w listach indywidualnych.
Skoro jednak przeglądam coroczne rankingi rzekomo najlepszych wydawnictw muzycznych, pomyślałem, że uwiecznię na blogu tytuły liderów 45 wybranych przeze mnie albumowych rankingów. Wszystkie rankingi stworzone są przez zagraniczne serwisy muzyczne (magazyny muzyczne). Z oczywistych względów nie mogłem wziąć pod uwagę podsumowań kilku znanych serwisów muzycznych, które postanowiły ograniczyć się do wskazania najciekawszych albumów, rezygnując z przydzielania im miejsc.
